I work out!

It's funny, cause it's a song and it's true!

I saw a physical trainer on Friday and before that, as I mentioned some time ago, my chiropractor suggested I do certain exercises to help with my back issues. Things have been icky and busy and not scheduled so I haven't really been able to work out. But I got back to it today. I did just under 2 miles for Couch to 5k, then rows, then shoulder thingys, plank, modified v-sits, and another balancing exercise that made me want to cry. I will get fit, gosh darnit!

I realized that one of the problems I've been having with getting my life in order is that I'm trying to do too many things, make too many changes, all at once. Eat better, cook more, go to bed earlier, wake up earlier, work out more regularly, blog several times a week, check off things on my 101 in 1001, get over Luke, and there are probably more that I can't think of right now. But holy wow that is just too darn much pressure! One person cannot make all those huge changes all at the same time. Well, maybe some person can, but that person is not me.

So, I have decided to take things one step at a time. My step for now is to work out! Once I'm doing that 3 times a week, I'll take the next step, whatever that is. I figure it will probably help with some of the other things, but those will be incidental, not my focus. Less pressure, Nora, less pressure!

Sorry about not putting the photos up, but that's one of the things that's getting pushed down the list. I am taking them, but posting them and writing about them is noooot happening for the time being.

Nora! It's Lizzy! I am so proud of you working out (something I haven't done in a few days!) and overall, for wanting to make positive changes in your life! Yay! However, regarding trying to do too many at once... my week and a half back home was supposed to be spent methodically and calmly finishing the rest of my work, eating well, going to bed early, getting enough sleep, and exercising... and I'm eating noodles at 4am, frantically trying to finish my law review application. In short, I feel ya. I hope all is well in Colorado! I miss you and love you, and love your blog so much! Big hugs!
